Research and Development Relief

Research and Development (R&D) Tax Relief is a valuable government subsidy designed to financially reward innovative UK businesses. R&D tax credits can be a valuable source of funding for many businesses, with the average claim for an SME estimated at over £46,000. The scheme is available to virtually every industry, and any business which is undertaking some form of innovation may be able to qualify.

Businesses can claim tax relief on costs incurred by qualifying research and development activities to develop new technologies or substantially improve products, processes, devices, materials and/or services – even if the activity is unsuccessful or the business is making a loss. Ormerod Rutter are working with our sister company Templeton R&D Ltd to assist businesses with their claims. We will liaise with HMRC on your behalf and process your claim with minimal disruption to your business and no unwanted overheads.
